Jesus' first coming as a sacrificial lamb was to establish the way of salvation, how to remove sins from our lives and give us promises. His second coming will be different. Revelation 1:7 describes how he will come; "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen". Jesus is coming back for His people.
I do not know the time of His coming and I can be sure that no one knows the exact day or time. Matthew 24:36 gives us proof of this: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only". If we read the whole chapter of Matthew 24, we would know what must happen before that day - tribulation, rising of false prophets and Christs, wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecutions, betrayals, iniquity, love growing cold, abomination of desolation, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give light and many other things.
All these events leads to the darkest time on earth. Do you remember the parable of the ten virgins? Do you know when the bridegroom came? He came at midnight (Matthew 25:6). Midnight is usually the darkest time of day. This tells us that Jesus will come in the midst of spiritual darkness. I have to say it again, I don't know the time, but I can see the seasons.
Things must start happening for Him to come. On the other hand, we still have to live to the fullest. No matter what happens, it is our responsibility to live for Him in good or bad times. He is still in charge. We will not be deceived, but we will be ready, so we can go with Him. We will be like the wise virgins who were ready to go with Him.
